Diet & Treats
Sugar glider diets are a very controversial topic in the glider community. Gliders need specific vitamins and nutrients to thrive in captivity. Below I will list the 3 staple diets we recommend here at MMM and provide more information.
Sugar gliders do well on any of these diets, so finding the one that works best for you is key. We feed our gliders The Pet Glider diet.
IMPORTANT:
Sugar gliders do not do well on all pellet diets. They do not get everything they need from any formulated pellet diet. There are also many companies with unsafe food on the market, please do your research.
Treats are wonderful bonding tools and can be a great addition to a balanced diet, in moderation. Yogurt drops, honey sticks, mealworms, and fish sticks are just a small list of glider safe treats.
